Life at ONU

The thing about my life here at ONU is that yes I am a student here, but I'm also very much involved in a program that technically I'm not even apart of. Allow me to explain. The new Esports program here at Ohio Northern is managed and Coached by my husband Troy Chiefari. My every day (since we moved here to Ohio 10 months ago) has been consumed with Esports and helping Troy manage a couple of his Esports social medias, such as Instagram or Twitter. The ONU Esports Instagram is pretty weak right now but I'm hoping since the school year has started that I will be able to add more content. I really haven't messed with the Twitter at all because I feel my talents lie with Instagram. Helping Troy with Esports related things takes up a lot of my time here on campus. If he comes in early.. I come in early. If he leaves late.. I leave late. I try to help him as best I can while also getting homework done sometime in between. If any of you are wondering about the Esports program it's actually pretty exciting stuff. Troy loves talking about it and getting feedback from people who are interested in the program. You can find Coach Chiefari in his office or in the gaming rooms pretty much anytime after 12pm, and he's here at ONU all day. Maybe shoot him an email first.. he's a pretty busy guy being that the program is brand new. I bet a lot of you are wondering if I myself play video games being that I'm married to thee guy who has dedicated his life to gaming... the answer is yes, I enjoy gaming. My favorite game of all time is Skyrim. It's the ultimate RPG (role playing game) that immerses you in a world of dragons and adventure. Skyrim is pretty easy to play once you get the hang of it and the story line is fantastic! As of right now the Esports program only involves League of Legends and Overwatch, two highly competitive online games that people dedicate their entire lives to. The dynamics of these games are so complex that I will probably have dedicate a whole different blog to it!
