"The Art of Social Media" Ch. 3 and 4
Would you consider yourself an interesting person? Do you do interesting things, and have interesting ideas to share with the world? Are you bold? What's the most courageous thing you've done lately? These are all the questions that I ask myself when I'm deciding whether to post, or not to post on social media. When it comes to expressing your feelings and pictures just remember that success favors the bold and interesting. A couple weeks ago I was struggling with a certain picture I wanted to post to my cosplay Instagram and I couldn't decide if it was worthy to post or not. The cosplay I did was of Bulma Bunny, and in my post I just wanted to show off different angles and poses of my cosplay. I didn't have anything in particular to say in the caption I just hadn't posted in a while and needed to post something. I decided that it was bold interesting and also "eye candy". I captioned it, "Bulma Bunny Suit," and hashtagged the heck out of it. The post ended up getting way more likes than I thought it would, and even some positive comments as well. Success really does favor the bold and interesting.
Another very important part of posting on social media is being "active". You must be active every single day, and you must also post a lot. A lot meaning posting between 3 and 20 times per day! I'm terrible about this and it is something I need to work on. I think a personal goal of mine is going to be to post to Twitter 5 times a day for the next week. If you're struggling with your social media presence and want to be more "active," make a personal challenge for yourself!
