TikTok

I'm sure many of you have heard, or know about TikTok. It's an app you can download on your phone, and is available on iOS and Android. TikTok is basically a social media video app for creating and sharing short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. There are a variety of trends within TikTok, including memes, lip-synced songs, and comedies. Duets is a feature that allows users to add their own video to an existing video with the original content's audio. I have the app downloaded on my phone, and I love it. It's my go-to app when I'm wanting to laugh, and waste time. When you download it, you will have to create a profile, but you don't have to upload videos if you don't want to. You can just be on the app to scroll the "For You" page to enjoy other videos people have created, which are usually hilarious. You can also follow specific people whose videos you enjoy most.

If you are old enough to remember Vine, then you already have an idea of what TikTok is about. TikTok is basically the new, upgraded Vine. There are some differences between the apps, such as video time length, and video editing features. However, it does seem like TikTok is more user-friendly when it comes to regular people being able to make their videos look professionally edited. Within the United States the app has been downloaded 80 million times, and gains more popularity every day. A lot of older people feel they are too old for TikTok, and don't belong on the app. The app is for all ages, and is perfect for anyone who just want to scroll and laugh, and discover hilarious videos.

  1. I swore I wouldn't download this app because it seemed so silly, but here I am, watching it all the time and getting distracted from homework. I'm sure my friends get annoyed with the amount of TikToks I share with them. I'm very impressed with how fast this app became popular. The creator is very smart because like you said, it's a better Vine, and remember Vine being a very popular app.
